Dr. Michael A. Roegner, MD, is a double board-certified, fellowship-trained anesthesiologist specializing in chronic pain management and interventional treatments at NeuroSpine Center of Wisconsin in Appleton and Green Bay, Wisconsin. At the practice, he is dedicated to helping patients achieve pain relief and regain functionality through comprehensive care.
Dr. Roegner completed his undergraduate degree at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. After earning his Masters degree from Boston University, he went on to earn his medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine. Dr. Roegner completed his anesthesia residency training at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, where he served as the Chief Resident of 55 anesthesia residents during the 2019-2020 academic year. He also holds the honor of working the most hours during both the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 academic years, demonstrating his dedication and commitment to his training and his patients.
After completion of his anesthesia training, Dr. Roegner pursued further specialization with a fellowship in pain medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center where he served as a Double Chief Fellow for Academic Research and Education. In this role, he facilitated research initiatives, coordinated journal clubs, and supported fellows, residents, and interns with academic resources. This experience further enhanced his expertise and dedication to innovative and comprehensive pain management care.
At NeuroSpine Center, Dr. Roegner specializes in treating a wide range of painful conditions, including back pain, neck pain, joint pain, migraines, nerve-related pain, and cancer-related pain. He emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach to pain management, combining advanced interventions, patient education, and individualized care to achieve optimal results. Treatment options include epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections, lumbar decompression, spinal cord stimulators, nerve ablations, sacroiliac joint injections, nerve blocks and much more.
Outside of work, Dr. Roegner enjoys Green Bay Packers football, Milwaukee Brewers baseball, Milwaukee Bucks basketball, fitness, investing, stock market trading, boating, fishing, cooking, traveling, and spending quality time with his family.
