Pain Medicine Physician

Amanda L. Greene, MD

Amanda Greene, MD, is a board-certified fellowship-trained pain medicine physician  committed to providing multi-modal pain management treatment to her patients to maximize their quality of life and improve their functional status. Dr. Greene works to accurately diagnose and effectively treat the cause of her patient’s pain. Special consideration is given to conservative approaches with options including medication management, procedural interventions, and referral to further specialists, including physical therapy, chiropractic care, acupuncture, and more. Dr. Greene also uses neuromodulation, including spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulation. Dr. Greene strives to educate her patients on their disease process and encourages them to participate actively in their care.

Dr. Greene is a Midwesterner through and through. She majored in biology and graduated summa cum laude from UW – Milwaukee. She then attended medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where she found a passion for patients in pain. Her residency was completed in anesthesia at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, where she was able to follow patients through their entire hospitalization, addressing both acute and chronic pain needs. Her fellowship was then completed in pain medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Dr. Greene not only works with patients with spine-related pain but the pain from many causes, such as complex regional pain syndrome, postherpetic neuralgia, cancer-related pain, joint pain, peripheral neuropathies, phantom limb, amputation, post-stroke pain, and more.

She enjoys spending time with her husband and two children! They love exploring the local communities and parks!
