Pam Verkuilen is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner and is licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber (APNP). She is a Wisconsin native who was raised and still resides in the Winneconne area with her family. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and her Master of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh. She began her nursing career in the Emergency Department and later moved into Occupational Health Nursing where she developed a strong interest in back pain and other spinal disorders. She now has more than 20 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in Orthopedic Spine Surgery in the Fox Valley.
Pam is employed by NeuroSpine Center of Wisconsin, an integrated spine & brain care center that offers a comprehensive range of surgical and non-surgical services. In her role as a Nurse Practitioner in Spine Surgery, she works in collaboration with surgeons and physiatrists to deliver high quality, comprehensive evaluation and treatment to patients with spinal disorders. She prides herself in being very accessible to patients via phone and/or office encounters. She is skilled in treating a broad range of spine problems including herniated discs, degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, spinal fracture, spondylolisthesis and other nerve compression and spinal instability issues. In the hospital and outpatient surgery centers, she evaluates patients pre and postoperatively and assists the surgeon performing procedures in the operating room.
